Media/Communications

Flight Safety Foundation executives and subject matter experts are available to talk to the media about aviation safety issues. By policy, however, the Foundation does not speculate on the probable causes of accidents or incidents. In the event of an accident, it is in the interest of aviation safety and of the traveling public to refrain from speculation and to allow professional accident investigators to do their jobs without undue external pressure and media attention. Also, it is important to note that the objective of accident/incident investigations is to determine how and why events happen in order to prevent them from happening again. The objective of safety investigations is not to assign blame.

To arrange an interview, please contact Aaron Karp, managing editor, via email or by calling +1.703-739-6700, ext. 116.
